Houston - Dallas    +7.5

Dallas hasn't been jelling yet this season (counting out the game against the Spurs), especially away from the AA Center, losing at against powerhouses Atlanta and Portland. Nevertheless Dallas holds an 8-2 record.
They once again almost looked beat yesterday have way through the second quarter, down by 24 points. But Dirk finally managed to play some Basketball this year, scoring 26 of his 32 points in the second half.

Houston has started the season very impressive, but is currently riding a 4 game losing streak, with TMac unfortunately hurt again, missing the last 2. He is still questionable for tonights game. If he is going to be sidelined again, the Rockets won't stand a chance. If Tracy is going to be good to go, it will be a hard fought match, with the Mavs coming out on top, since they just have too many players that can hurt you.

These two teams already met this season, with Dallas winning at home by 9 points. I will take the nice odds on the better Texan team, as the bookies see the Mavs as slight underdogs. Medium stakes once again because of b2b for the Mavs and TMac being a game-time decision.

MIL Bucks - LA Lakers    -6

Tonight, I'm jumping once again on the Lakers' bandwagon. Last night they almost played a perfect game on the offensive end, with Kobe doing lots of the damage early on, scoring 26 at halftime. Andrew Bynum, playing through foul trouble the entire game, also had a great night, getting a DoubleDouble at 17-10 without missing a single FGA. When the starters got their rest in the 2nd half the bench players took over just where the others left off, especially Jordan Farmar, who hit 3 3-pointers on a night, where the entire team shot just below 60%.

The Bucks also played yesterday, falling behind by double digits early on against the One-Man-Cavs, rallied to take this game as a big underdog. Although this win should be very relieving for the Bucks, I'd like to think it cost some energy, that should be missing in tonight's back2back game.

If the Lakers are able to control their own glass, unlike they did yesterday, when they gave up 18 offensive boards (the Bucks pulled down 15 themselves against the Cavs), they will go on and win this game by quite a bit more than the mere 1.5 points. The Bucks won't be facing their 2nd game against 1 Man in a row. The Lakers are playing more team ball this year. Medium stakes again, because it's a B2B-Game.

NY Knicks - Golden State    +4.55

Same procedure as every year in New York: Absolute Chaos, it seems like it is only a matter of time, until Dulan kicks Isiah out, and it is rather safe to say that the team itself is too shook up to actually win another game without any serious change happening quickly.

The Knickerbockers dropped their last 6. They were close in a couple of them, forcing Sacramento to OT, but just couldn't take the W. Zach Randolph had a DoubleDouble in every game he played so far, but with his shooting percentage below .400 it is just not enough, especially when he doesn't get a lot of help from his team mates.

The Warriors dug themselves a big whole early on, loosing their first 6 games of the season, but finally managed to shrug it off and win the last 2 against the Clips and at Toronto. With Stephen Jackson back in the lineup, one of there most important assets has returned, so Golden State should be on their way back to the team, that killed the Mavs in last years playoffs.

My guess is that New York has too many worries right now, so the Warriors will rock the MSG and steal a W. Medium stakes on this one, as Golden State typically aren't as strong away from home.

Khimik - D. Bank Skyliners    -8
Tuesday, November 20th, 2007 17:00
Basketball - Uleb Cup

Pick:  Over 154.5   Result: 81-69
Stake:  8/10   Odds:  1.90

Today's match up between the Russians BC Khimki and the Germans Deutsche Bank Skyliners looks like a sure win for the aforementioned team.

Khimki is leading their national league, as for now outplaying the Euroleague team CSKA, being still unbeaten. They are playing very enjoyable offensive basketball, scoring 93 and 90 points in their previous matches.

There is no reason to believe that the Germans will be able to slow them down, as even better teams failed to do so. But the Skyliners should be able to score at least 65 for themselves, as they sure will get enough posessions, to push the total up to more than 154.

Overall, this should be a blowout, so Khimki should be dictating their game, causing an up tempo game and top the line at 154.5. Played at Unibet as all the other bookies set the line a couple of points higher.

Indiana - LA Lakers    +5.46
Wednesday, November 21st, 2007 01:00
US Sports - NBA

Pick:  LA Lakers (-2)   Result: 114-134
Stake:  6/10   Odds:  1.91

The Lakers are playing good ball early on, even though Kobe is not putting up the numbers on a regular basis, failing to score 20+ in the past two games. But his supporting cast is proving they have improved, as 6 bench players finished in double digits in the blowout win against the Bulls. The Lakers good start is also surprising the bookmakers, having a 7-2 ATS record.

Indiana, after starting the season 3-0, halted their slid of 6 straight losses by beating the Utah Jazz in good fashion by 20 points.

Being superior to the Pacers in basically every aspect of the game (Points/Game, FG%, Defense, Rebounding, Bench...) the Lakers will be just a little to strong for Indiana, running away with a victory and covering the spread of 2. Medium Stakes on this one.

Atlanta - SA Spurs    +5.58

US Sports - NBA

Pick:  SA Spurs (-6)   Result: 83-95
Stake:  6/10   Odds:  1.93

The Spurs are currently doing there thing, which we got so used to over the years. Nothing fancy, everything very fundamental, but still very efficient in racking up the Ws and standing atop the Western Conference (8-2). In their 8 Wins, only one of them was by fewer than 6 points.

The Hawks played good Ball early on, with home wins over the Western powerhouses Dallas and Phoenix. But recent losses to the Sonics and the Bucks state that it is not all gold in Atlanta.

There is not a lot more to say about this game, the Spurs will just be to good for the Hawks winning their game by more than 6 points, as the Hawks won't beat another one of the Top 3 Western teams. Medium Stakes for this one, as the Spurs are not going to play their heart out, but much rather looking to ease for victory.

New Orleans - Orlando    +6.24

Pick:  Orlando ML   Result: 88-95
Stake:  6/10   Odds:  2.04

Orlando is really playing outstanding Basketball thus far this season. With an incredible record of 9-2 they are only second in the Eastern Conference, just shy of 1st place Boston, which they handed their first loss to yesterday, after starting 8-1. Although the Celts had their chances to win the game in the end, but coming up short on a potential game winning three pointer, this game was a nonetheless very impressive one by the Magic, who proved that their record is not just a fluke.

Especially Dwight Howard is really growing up, and he is already uncontrollable for any oponnent, making him the best center in the league right now. Also Rashard Lewis is playing good Ball, fitting in perfectly with the entire team.

As the Hornets also had a very impressive start into the season, having the same record at 9-2, they did not seem quite as strong as the Florida team. Even more important, with CP3 doubtful because of an ankle injury tonight, their catalyst is misssing, and the Hornets won't be winning a whole lot of games with him sidelined, as their game stands and falls with Chris Paul.

So everything is going for the Magic tonight, but because of B2B-Games for them, I'm only playing them Medium stakes at 6.
